Welcome to The Vintage Envelope. These Terms of Service apply when you browse our website or purchase products from us.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. About The Vintage Envelope

The Vintage Envelope is an independent UK-based greeting card business specialising in beautifully designed cards, including personalised and made-to-order designs.

Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Vintage Envelope.

2. Placing an Order

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that the information you provide is complete and accurate.

Once your order has been successfully placed, you will receive an order confirmation.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where necessary, including where there has been an obvious pricing error, an item is unavailable, or we are unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order that you have already paid for, you will receive a refund for the cancelled item.

3. Personalised Cards

Where personalisation is available, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure all information submitted is correct.

Please carefully check:

• Names and spellings
• Ages and numbers
• Dates
• Relationships
• Personalised messages or wording
• Any other custom information provided

Your card will be created using the information submitted with your order.

We cannot be held responsible for errors contained within information supplied incorrectly by the customer.

If The Vintage Envelope makes an error when creating your card, please contact us so that we can put this right.

4. Product Appearance

We make every effort to display our products as accurately as possible.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your device or screen settings.

As our products are individually produced, very small variations in printing, positioning, colour or finish may occasionally occur. These minor variations are not considered faults where they do not materially affect the product.

5. Prices & Payment

All prices displayed on our website are shown in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout before payment is completed.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Payment must be successfully completed before an order can be processed.

6. Dispatch & Delivery

Orders will be dispatched using the delivery method selected or stated at checkout.

Any delivery times shown on our website are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Once an order has been handed over to the postal service, delivery times are outside of our direct control.

Please allow additional time during particularly busy postal periods, including Christmas.

7. Lost Orders

An order will not be considered lost until 10 working days have passed from the postage date.

Working days do not include weekends or bank holidays.

If your order has not arrived after 10 working days, please contact us so that we can investigate.

Where an order is deemed lost in transit, an appropriate resolution will be offered, which may include a replacement or refund.

Refunds for non-delivery will not be issued before the 10-working-day period has passed.

8. Delivery Addresses

It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please check your address carefully before completing checkout.

If you notice an error before your order has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to amend it.

We cannot guarantee changes once an order has entered production or been dispatched.

9. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

The Vintage Envelope does not accept returns or exchanges.

Personalised and made-to-order products cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind.

Refunds for orders believed to be lost in transit will only be considered once 10 working days have passed from the postage date.

Nothing within these Terms of Service limits your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or we have made an error with your order, please contact us so that the issue can be resolved.

10. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Because cards may be printed or personalised shortly after an order is received, we cannot guarantee that an order can be cancelled once production has begun.

This does not affect any cancellation rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.

11. Intellectual Property

All original designs, illustrations, photographs, branding, product descriptions, website content and other materials belonging to The Vintage Envelope are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Our content must not be copied, reproduced, resold, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

Purchasing a card does not transfer ownership of the design or grant permission to reproduce it.

12. Website Use

You must not use our website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes or attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website.

You must not copy, scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission.

13. Promotions & Discount Codes

From time to time, we may offer promotional or discount codes.

Unless otherwise stated, discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be applied retrospectively to an order that has already been placed.

We reserve the right to amend, withdraw or place conditions on promotional offers where appropriate.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when an order was placed or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

15. Privacy

Any personal information provided when using our website or placing an order will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website or legal requirements.

The version applicable to your purchase will be the version in effect when your order is placed.

17. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer.
